FEMALE directors dominated the major categories at the 2013 Australian Directors Guild Awards.
The Friday night ceremony in Sydney saw Cate Shortland win the best direction in a feature film prize for her period drama Lore, and Rachel Perkins won for direction of a TV drama series for Redfern Now.
Shortland, who acknowledged the plethora of female directors, won in a strong feature film category featuring her husband Tony Krawitz (Dead Europe), Kieran Darcy-Smith (Wish You Were Here) and Wayne Blair (The Sapphires)…
